How it works

  1. Pick your files.Pick one or more PDFs.
  2. Your phone does the work.Choose how much. Your phone shrinks the photos inside.
  3. Save the result.Save the smaller PDF.

What gets smaller

In most big PDFs, the size comes from photos and scans inside them. Thumbs PDF makes those pictures smaller and saves them as efficient JPGs. Text, fonts and drawings are left exactly as they are, so writing stays sharp and searchable.

  • Less: a gentle squeeze, for documents you might print.
  • Recommended: the best balance for email and forms.
  • Most: smallest files, with softer photos.

You always see the size before and after. If a file can’t get smaller (for example a PDF with only text), you get the original back unchanged, never a bigger one.

Need a whole PDF under an exact size, like 2 MB? Start with Recommended, and try Most if it’s still too big.

Questions

Why didn’t my PDF get much smaller?

PDFs made of text are already small, and there is little to squeeze. Scans and photo-heavy files shrink the most, often by 50 to 90%.

Will text become blurry?

No. Only pictures inside the PDF are made smaller. Text stays as text.

Can I compress several PDFs at once?

Yes. Pick them together and each one is compressed on its own.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Compression happens in your browser. Load this page, turn on airplane mode, and it still works.
