Clean text, ready to paste

Markdown is plain text with a few marks for structure: # for headings, - for list items, **bold** and *italics*. It opens in any notes app, works on GitHub and wikis, and is the easiest way to hand a document to an AI assistant without losing its structure.

  • Lines that belong together are joined into paragraphs, and words broken with a hyphen are mended.
  • Two-column pages are read one column at a time.
  • Pictures are left out. Use PDF to JPG to save them.

Scanned pages are read with OCR on your device, so their text comes across too.

Questions

Why Markdown and not plain text?

Markdown keeps headings and lists, so the structure survives, and it still reads fine as plain text.

Are tables kept?

Tables come over as lines of text. For tables, PDF to Excel works better.

Are my files uploaded?

No. It all happens in your browser, and it works in airplane mode.
